Join the Carrickfergus Tall Ship Project – Volunteers Needed!
The Carrickfergus Tall Ship Project is embarking on an exciting mission to restore and return the tall ship Result back to the town in which she was built over 130 years ago. Workhorse, Warrior, Film Star - the Result is a unique survivor from the age of sail and First World War veteran. Get involved and help “bring her home”.
Our intentions for this remarkable ship are to create a land-based heritage attraction and community events hub on the Carrickfergus waterfront in tribute to our town’s great maritime history. We now need some specialised help to make our ambitions a reality. The voluntary roles are outlined below so, if you have the skills and can make some time, we want to hear from you!
Volunteer Company Secretary
Are you detail-oriented, and interested in charity governance? As Company Secretary, you will help ensure our project runs smoothly, supporting board meetings, maintaining records, and assisting with compliance. Previous charity/company secretary experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn is just as valued!
Fundraising & Events Volunteer
Assist with, organise and run fundraising efforts through a wide range of events, campaigns, merchandise, etc. We’re looking for people keen to use their creative and organisational skills to raise the vital funds needed to preserve our town’s maritime history.
Social Media & Outreach Volunteer
Are you creative, aware of the latest social media trends and have strong communication skills? Support our outreach and marketing work by managing and creating attractive and informative regular content for our social media channels, website and newsletter. Focus on outreach initiatives and relationship-building with the local community.
